Prescription verification process
``` Only applicable to customers in the U.S.
TTDeye cares about the health of our customers. According to the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act (FCLCA), any seller of contact lenses has the responsibility to verify the prescription of customers before selling the lenses (U.S. Region).
How does the process work?
First, you provide us with prescription information and then we send it to your prescriber in a verification request. Your prescriber has 8 business hours to respond. If the prescriber does not respond within the required time, the prescription is automatically verified and we can provide you with contact lenses.
1. Sending the copyTo start the verification, you must upload a valid copy (photo/scan) of the prescription. There are two better methods to handle it in the most efficient and easy way:
- When you create an account on TTDeye
-
When you pay at the checkout
You can also send the copy or scan of the photo to the email address: info@ttdeye.com with your name and order number.
2. Verification request to tyour prescriber
Let us know the name and contact methods of your prescriber, such as email or phone number, and we will contact them directly to verify your prescription as soon as possible. As mentioned earlier, the FCLCA Rule allows a response time of 8 business hours for prescribers, and if there is no response after that, the prescription will be automatically verified. Additionally, business hours are defined as hours between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding federal holidays, in the prescriber's time zone.
What if I don't have a prescription for contact lenses?
You can easily find a doctor nearby to get an eye exam from relevant service providers online, such as Visibly. Please send us the copy after receiving the prescription. ```
